November 2024: Nimra and Anau are awarded travel grants from the Dodd-Walls Centre and the New Zealand Institute of Chemistry (NZIC) to attend the NZ Institute of Chemistry conference in Dunedin in November.

October 2024: Megha Baburaj Sijarani joins our group to do her PhD studies, supported by our Marsden grant. Welcome, Megha!
August 2024: Anau, Vinay and Nicola publish a paper entitled “Developing Photoactive Coumarin-caged N-Hydroxysulfonamides for Generation of Nitroxyl (HNO)”, together with collaborators at Kent State University, USA, in a special edition on photoactive molecules in the journal Molecules (DOI: 10.3390/molecules29163918).
July 2024: Nimra successfully passes her PhD candidacy exam! Congratulations, Nimra!
July 2024: Dr Julia Robertson, co-supervised by Brent Seale and Nicola, is awarded a Category 4 Maurice Wilkins Centre travel grant to carry out experiments in the lab of Dr Hingley-Wilson in the UK.
June 2024: Nicola and Brent Seale are awarded a Faculty bridging grant, which will provide salary support to their postdoctoral fellow Dr Julia Robertson.
May 2024: Jess is awarded the prestigious Kate Edger Trust Dame Dorothy Winstone Doctoral Completion Award.
March 2024: Cassey and Charlotte Brunner begin third-year research projects in our group. Welcome, Cassey and Charlotte!
February 2024: Ben, Jess and Nicola published a paper entitled “Exploring the potential of the vitamin B12 derivative azidocobalamin to undergo Huisgen 1,3-dipolar azide-alkyne cycloaddition reactions” in the Journal of Inorganic Biochemistry, published by Elsevier (DOI: 10.1016/j.jinorgbio.2024.112504).
